The second time a boss tried to bully me into ignoring fraud I began to wonder if there was something wrong with business (or with me!).
So began our journey. I spoke to dozens of people – from front line staff to FTSE 100 directors. It was clear something was missing in organisations. Problems like harassment and bullying were getting missed, and so were engagement opportunities. Employees were lacking a voice, companies were missing insights.
We set out to build WorkInConfidence.
Our mission: To ensure no-one goes home from work unable to raise a concern or contribute an idea which could be of benefit
The first time a boss tried to bully me into going along with fraud I thought I was unlucky. The second time it happened, I began to wonder if there was something wrong with business (or with me). Having been a corporate lawyer in both London and Bangkok I had seen it all.
So began the journey. I spoke to dozens of people – from front line staff to FTSE 100 directors. It was clear something was missing. Problems like harassment and bullying were getting missed, and so were engagement opportunities. Employees were lacking a voice, companies were missing insights and so WorkInConfidence was born.
When Tim isn’t turning struggling companies into successful organisations, he can be found cooking, especially Asian or Peruvian cuisine. Tim also competes in Ironman competitions each year and he once caught the train to Ulan Batur because he liked the name!
As COO for a small business, Neil gets involved in every aspect from sales to
development to marketing. By trade, Neil is a software developer and still loves nothing more than getting his hands dirty and cutting some code. Prior to joining WorkInConfidence, Neil worked for a variety of companies including
start-ups, software houses and corporates including IBM, Yellow Pages and Admiral Computing.
When Neil isn’t delivering quality software, he can be found watching detective series on TV or blogging about his latest travelling adventures. Music is also incredibly important to Neil whether listening to records or going to gigs. This comes as no surprise as he once made a record with his local football club and was interviewed by Timmy Mallet on radio!
When Kat first met Tim and Neil she loved their infectious enthusiasm and the whole ethos of WorkInConfidence, so jumped at the chance to be their Social Media Manager. Having a background in change management and administration, Kat keeps the social media on track, growing the
WorkInConfidence profile and engaging with our clients and market influencers.
Kat’s love for all things disco means that her three girls are well versed in all the greats from the 70s, 80s and 90s – much to her husband’s bemusement!
Artur’s background has always been in software and technology having started his career for a large corporate company. Since then he has worked with at WorkInConfidence as our Development Manager.
When Artur isn’t working or studying for a PhD in Computer Science, he can be found playing computer games and reminiscing about his previous life a ballroom dance instructor!
Sheila has had an exciting and varied career, starting in recruitment before moving to Tetra Pac, Procter & Gamble and then the NHS. She is now financial controller for WorkInConfidence.
When Sheila isn’t crunching numbers she can be found boxing. She couldn’t live without her spider catcher, as Sheila is petrified of them.
Donna is an HR/Learning and Development Professional with a career that has also encompassed Programme/Project Management and IT Service Delivery. She has worked in variety of organisations in both the public and private sector. Donna brings an individual and organisational learning perspective to the development and support of our products.
When Donna isn’t playing taxi service to her two sons, she enjoys tennis, skiing and watching rugby. Amazingly she even manages to fit in some admirable charitable work as she is a trustee of a local children’s charity.
Bernard’s career has spanned over forty-five years. Having worked in a number of technical roles starting at the BBC, Bernard was also European Technical Director for the global manufacturer ICL.
Since then Bernard has spent a lot of time as an entrepreneur, starting up and
turning around companies.
