The Festival of Business, Woodley has been running at the Oakwood Centre in Woodley since 2012. It offers a unique opportunity for local businesses to connect and collaborate with other business owners, in a celebration of the strength and diversity of the local enterprising business community.
WorkInConfidence is proud to be able to support the event by volunteering time to help continue the success of the festival.
Tim Martin, CEO of WorkInConfidence, is one of a number of inspirational speakers at the festival. Martin’s talk is entitled Empowering Conversations.
“We all think we can listen, and we all think we can talk; but how many organisations end up being defined by the conversations they never had? From the banking crisis to VW to #MeToo, the catastrophes these organisations faced could have been avoided if communication had been open and honest.
Facilitating open conversation is the only way that businesses can avoid problems before they become insurmountable: this is what WorkInConfidence is all about, and what we can bring to the Festival of Business.
WorkInConfidence are thrilled to be involved in this great festival; helping support local businesses and the local community.” – Tim Martin
Neil Thompson, COO of WorkInConfidence, is also working alongside the rest of the festival committee to help organise the biggest Festival of Business so far. With a range of guest speakers, networking opportunities, and a business fayre where local companies showcase their products and talk about their businesses with local entrepreneurs, the 2018 event promises to bring genuine value to local businesses and the community.
